Parking
Emergency department patients may park at no cost in the Emergency Department parking lot, located off Bower Hill Rd. at the Segar Rd. intersection. Individuals picking up discharged patients may park briefly along the hospital's main entrance off Bower Hill Rd. When picking up a discharged patient, please wait to get your car until the patient is in the lobby. Patient parking is also available in Parking Lot 2 at this entrance. Visitors should park in the parking garage behind the hospital off of Wren Dr. If parking is not available, please inquire about valet service from the concierge or security guard.

Parking tokens are necessary to exit parking garages and lots. These tokens may be purchased for $2 at automatic token vending machines located in the 4th floor lobby and at the exit of the Professional Office Building on the 1st floor. Tokens may also be purchased at the inpatient cashier's window and information desk on the 4th floor, as well as from admissions on the 3rd floor.

State the main problem or issue

Remain Calm

Bring your list of current meds and allergies

Describe all symptoms no matter how minor you might think they are

Describe what events or activities that led up to the ER visit

Be honest and answer all questions.  Withheld information might hinder a correct diagnosis

Be sure the hospital communicates with your doctor / primary care physician

Ask as many questions as necessary to understand what information the hospital staff relays to you.
